I keep seeing "Shadow card". What is a shadow card? Totally confused.

I understand the Devil, Temperance and the Death card being shadow cards when using the Tree of Life but other than that???

some readers choose to add the card on the bottom of the deck to their reading.

Depending on how you work the system (and decks will do what you expect them to do), the shadow card will either show you what the client has buried most deeply and absolutely won't admit to, or conversely, it will show you the one issue that is completely removed from the whole situation that others might think is involved.

Shadow cards are occasionally useful, but I don't make them a routine..
