Your tarot 'goals'

inanna_tarot

So, looking to try and move out of my tarot/spiritual Hanged Man feeling of stagnation and to kick start some passion and enthusiasm into it all I thought I'd ask you all a question to help inspire me.

So, what are your tarot 'goals'? your project plans of what you want to do in the future with tarot? To build up your face to face readings? To learn the deeply mystical/occult side of the cards? You doing daily readings? To doing magick with your cards?

C'mon, where are you going with your tarot studies? What do you one day want to do? learn? share?

My goals are:

1.) Be able to read more confidently for anyone, in person or email/phone
2.) To stretch my psychic muscles and learn to use my intuition outside of my cards
3.) Overall to get a better understanding of the cards, and symbolism

Im hoping this will just open me up to more and more to things, not tarot related.

Tarot goals for 2012

Hi to all,
My goal is to become more confident reading on the free tarot network, and also jumpstart my tarot business.
The thing about tarot business or should I say doing readings as a business is going slow.
I'm also working on learning all I can about voyager tarot, counseling skills and hope to one day, develop my own unique techniques for voyager tarot! I also hope to continue my tarot studies and learn to learn also the astrological meanings of the golden dawn system.
I feel that co-insides with the voyager tarot!
Blessings,

My goals with Tarot are to learn more about and be better able to work with subtle energies. I am using Tarot as a spiritual tool, and I study esoterica to go along with that.

I also want to get better at using the Tarot to understand the dynamics in relationships, which is the same thing but on a different level. Along with understanding psychology and even some sociology I have found the Tarot is a great counseling tool. It is an icebreaker, and it gives an opening to dive into things that may not come up just talking.

I want to get better at feeling the energy from the cards, like people who fan the cards and run their hand over them. I can feel it sometimes - but it is still hit and miss depending on my mood.

Comparing cards, within a deck or in different decks is a lot of fun. All of the fire cards, a few different emperors, all the cards with a bird in them...and why do those cards have a bird? It is really endless how many things are there to be discovered, and how much you can learn. This is probably what keeps me going back, I have so many things to figure out. Mysteries to solve. It is amazing. And life opens up as you learn more.

Best Wishes!

Simply to learn about myself and others. People are fascinating, and Tarot gives me a chance to interact with them in a very different way than normally. For me, it`s the journey, the process, not the destination.

I have no Tarot goals

Arguably the first true mathematician, Thales of Miletus, was once asked, "What is the most difficult thing?" He replied, "To know thyself." When he was asked, "What is the easiest thing?" he replied, "To give advice."

My Tarot usage is directed to knowing myself, not to giving advice.

LRichard - love that!

I think thats very true to how my tarot journey goes... I fail to pick up the cards because I do not want to hear those things about myself, that I am tired of working on the hard things in my life... to look when I'd rather turn away.

However, there is a deep privelege in being able to hold someone else's hand to help them look for themselves. As a tarot reader I forget that its nice to go to another tarot reader and be 'held' through that process of awareness.

Yes indeed, the correct procedure for counseling is to assist the client in solving problems on their own.

Wiser words were never spoken. :)

One of my Tarot goals is to deepen and expand my knowledge of the cards by learning and applying other systems to my readings, like the Qabbala. I want to keep expanding my collection of decks without ringing up my Visa, and I want to try to find a local Tarot reading/study group.

I use tarot as connecting to what jung would say is my "uncoscious part" of myself and use it as a friend who keeps an eye on the road a head and makes me see sense in a situation. I think all of us as kind of messed up with different feelings and for me it untangles the knots of what is and not important. I haven't seen anything on the forum about this, so i don't know if you guys do this, but sometimes it's good to just draw a few cards and ask your guide, spirit or whatever, "what do i need to know today?" and use it in this way to see what their advice is for you.
Over the years i've lost count of friends who've come to me and said e,g "what does steve think of me?" and the cards have come out that they need to deal with a money or health situation and refused to look at what they're asking and ignores it. Mostly it will answer the question, but if there's something bigger going on it will hold fast and keep shoving it at you. That's why so many of the same cards will appear for a time in our spreads, it's her energy, (sorry men but i feel she's a she) telling us what our subconscious needs us to know.

So my take it that tarot is an entity more than just a predictive fortune oracle and she connects us to ourselves and while we're with the querent she tells them what they need to know too. So i see as a tool for guidance in life.
