Reading for others

Samikcha

I finally had to make peace with myself that to develop my tarot skills I will have to read for others and I also reconciled with the fact that may be Paul Fenton is right about tarot readings for self should be avoided( I do 90% readings for myself) so any tips? I thought I would read for my colleagues at work. I mean is that good?? Any pointers??

Given how VERY seriously a lot of people in India seem to take these things - why not practise on people here - at least we know what it's all about. And this IS a learning forum; you will get loads of useful feedback.

Not that I believe one needs to avoid self-readings - I don't do them, but that's because I know I cheat.

I agree with gregory that it would be best to start where you're likely to get a sympathetic and supportive hearing. Reading for the public can be like diving into icy water, so why not "stick your toes in" first here. On her other point, we've had some feedback from other readers in India that sitters there hardly ever open up and have a dialogue with the reader that can lead to mutual agreement; they seem to be placing high value on the reader's undiluted interpretive skill, which makes us (me, anyway) think they take it VERY seriously.

Several Indian readers here who read for friends or for money and have mentioned the abuse they get when they don't deliver the message that is wanted, or when things don't pan out as they suggested it might. I don't want to name names, but I'm sure one of them will be along shortly.

As well as what the Jabberwock said !

Dear Madam and Sir,
I am a Queen of Wands and a Leo so may be I interpreted it in a different way( including a bit of drama). My sincere apologies to both of you .

I do readings for myself all the time I never had any problems. I trust my Tarot and my intuition.
