Okay, this is my statement for my IDS plan.
I, cronesayer:
1. Will start IDS at the Vernal Equinox at about 11:50 pm on the 19th of March, and I will continue until the Winter Solstice on December 21st at about 5:05 am.
2. Will read only from my chosen deck, the Shakespearian Tarot (by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki), including when I read for others, study, journal, idly flick-through, mindlessly shuffle, etc.
3. Will not purchase or trade for another deck prior to the official end of my IDS sojourn on the Winter Solstice, or waste my time, looking for another deck in any venue.
4. Will be aware that there may be side effects to the cessation of compulsive deck-buying and will deal with them when and if they surface and not allow them to take control of and/or sabotage my IDS plan.
5. Will allow myself the use of any and all supportive reading material
that I currently own or can borrow from the library, including the companion book, non-card-specific texts (eg. 21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card), and the works of William Shakespeare.
6. Will handle and read with my deck every day, take it with me everywhere and keep it under my pillow at night, because I agree that physical comfort with the cards is important to knowing my deck.
7. Will journal with my deck at least once a week and record a reading at least once a day.
8. Will visit the IDS group thread every day, not only to help motivate and encourage me to delve further into the symbolism and meaning of the cards, but to help and motivate me to stick to my IDS plan, as well as to encourage other group members in theirs.
