DESCRIPTION:Yang-Mills fields coupled to Einstein equations ha
ve a particular interest\, because they possess a
wide family of stationary spherically symmetric so
lutions : some are smooth and some are the exterio
r of a black hole. A lot of numerical studies have
been done on the subject\, and these exotic solut
ions seem to be unstable. However no analytic proo
f of this fact is known for the moment. In this ta
lk\, I will present the uncoupled problem of su(2)
Yang-Mills field on the exterior of a fixed Schwa
rzschild black holes with spherical symmetry. It i
s already a nonlinear problem and there also exist
s infinitely many stationary solutions\, that we s
how to be linearly and non linearly unstable. This
is a joint work with Dietrich Häfner.
