Dusty White's books

iness

Hi! :)

I was thinking on buying Dusty white's books... I have studied the cards from some time now but now I am looking for a more personal approach, but I read that in order to go through his book and it's lessons you have to do it with a partner! Well I have no partner to go through the lessons with me.

Does anyone know what are they referring to?

Can anyone clarify? Can you study his books by yourself?

Thanks so much!

Well, I confess I am more interested on the second one because the cards I know well and have been doing readings for 2 yrs now, although I consider myself still a beginner... but if he is really worth it I might even consider starting from the beginning and face his method from the start (meaning the first book).

I've got The Advanced Tarot Secret from D.White. I haven't gone through everything in It but you don't need a partner to do the exercices.

He does offer a different approach. For exemple, one of his exercice is to associate a tarot card (or a combo) to everything you encounter during a day. And that makes you really decipher the cards.

thank you so much for the FB :)

I think that is really interesting... and besides insightful and working your intuition it really sounds like so much fun...

I will probably get the second book...

The first books' exercises has some parts where a partner would be helpful. Such as laying three cards and telling the story you see then the partner telling theirs. Also going through each card together and talking about what you both think and feel about it, (I did this with my mentor and we both got a lot out of it).
The first book is a good allround learning experience, a stand alone.
The second book has more techniques and some extra stuff like manifestation etc, worth a read.
I have both books and would recommend them but there are other more rounded books out there.

There are active study groups for Dusty's books here at AT for those of us who don't have local study partners... :)

"Advanced Tarot Secrets' by Dusty White study group index thread"

The more action on the threads, the more cool it will be!
Come join in! :!: :lightbulb

PS
I initially learned about Dusty's books because of this thread:
"If you had to choose only one book on learning the tarot, what would it be?"

NOTE:
I figured the 1st one would be just another beginner book with the same old definitions, so I just bought the Advanced Tarot Secrets. Well, now I ended up with both books because, when I started reading, it felt like I was starting in the middle of his program, and I was missing the full benefit.

Then I saw people here at AT doing the exercises, and that was the little push that inspired me. :)
