Hi raeanne
I have recently heard about a twenty sixth ogham called peith which represents a feather, though that is all i can find about it, the information i have come up with so far on this ogham has been very limited. Do you have any info on this, if so it would be much appreciated.

Hi raeanne

There does not seem to be much info, but i have found that there are two extra ones. One called Peith which has a normal size stave next to one only half the size and corresponds to the soft birch and the other one Eite which is a single stave that divides itself into two horns at the top and this is the one that represents a feather. If you look at

http://www.omniglot.com/writing/ogham.htm

Hopefully you will be able to find the page, it displays the ogham alphabet on its side, the same way as paul rhys mountfort shows the alphabet in his book ogam. The meanings of these other oghams are unclear, if they have meanings that is.

Hi raeanne
I just wondered if you had any thoughts on the additional oghams which are often termed as the forfeda and are diphongs usually positioned number 21,22,23,24 and 25. I have several different books that mention these and there seems to be some confusion on some of the meanings and corrospondances. They seem to be

according to translations of the book of ballymoate these are the correspondances for the forfeda the last five oghams.

Koad - sacred grove
Oir-spindle
Uinllean - Honeysuckle or Beech
Iphin or Phagos - Gooseberry
Peine - Scots Pine

Any help you can give me would be much appreciated.

I was just wondering how long it would take to for gather 'found wood' in the traditional woods.

Birch
Willow
Hazel
Reed
Gorse
Alder
Silver Fir Rowan
Hawthorn
Apple
Blackthorn
Heather
Holly
Yew Ash
Oak
Vine
Elder
Poplar
Ivy

would be a fun project, and more education than souvenir spoons or pennants.
