The Alchemist's Table is for situations. There are more cards, and they are laid out in order, but they get read as a whole. I try not to make one card more important than another, unless it is number 11, the recipe.

1 & 2 - Pestle Handle - Intentions- the reason people are acting the way they are.
3 &4 - Pestle Head - Actions - What people are doing.
5, 6, 7, & 8 - Mortar - Environmental factors. These are influencing the situation in some way. They can be other people, problems, events, attitudes. Just try to get a sense of what is going on based on all four.
9 & 10 - Ingredients - The main things of importance in the situation.
11 - Recipe - The overarching design for the situation. This influences all the other cards and says where the spread is 'going'.

This one is pretty complex. It took me a while to work out all the kinks in my readings.

I like this one. Feels fresh and traditional too.

Thanks. I enjoyed designing it. Ten years has made it work pretty well for me.
