Not exactly a Tarot book - in fact tarot isn't even mentioned, though other divinatory systems are. But the trickster figure does of course play an important part in tarot iconography, and this book is a fascinating read in its own right.

This and Hyde's The Gift have only recently had their first publication in the UK, from the enterprising Scottish house Canongate, around 20 years after they came out in the US. I feel I've been cheated all these years ...
