Clow Cards: The Wood

As with tree growth, this might indicate slow progress. It may also indicate the need to prune back anything that is unnecessary or likely to overshadow the main item of focus. Things can grow a little out of hand, but this card is not indicating that everything should be destroyed or disposed of- just those overhanging bits that are now affecting the main issue. Blocked sunlight can cause stunted growth. What is in the way here that has crept up on you, but also gone unnoticed to a certain extent.

Well, this can show something that has outgrown itself now, and is hanging around not doing much. Not wanting to let go of something that has been of comfort (due to the fact it has been around a long time) is easily done. Clear the deadwood and leave the living material to thrive.

The Wood (King of Diamonds [Pentacles])

Upright: A chief of industry or a banker, a reliable person, a married man, solid, steadiness. Don't forget your original intentions, even if it is favorable. If you get too caught up in the moment, the things which you built up with much effort will become spoiled.

Reverse: Materialistic, slow to anger, 'head is on the ground", bribes

Meanings inspired from the anime

The Wood is a very peaceful card who let herself be captured without showing any opposition. She could symbolize a calm person or situation.

She can produce plant material at will, which typically represents life and abundance.

Wood (trees) is also a common symbol for growth. In the anime, before being captured, the card started growing into a large tree due to the Rain card pouring water everywhere.

The Wood is under the power of the Watery, the Moon and is related to Eastern magic.
