To arrive at 63?rwcarter said:I'm trying to understand your methodology, so that's where my questions come from.
For Florence Lawrence, you used the first letter of the first name and the first letter of the last name. But for Frank Novinec you used the first letter of the first name and the last letter of the last name. Why the different method than was used for Florence?
As I said, I went away and played with numbers for a while, and you can get 41 or 22 or 79 too, if you are selective about your maths.
My point is that the 63s the OP is getting are completely genuine. You can get 63s if you go looking for them. If you go looking for other numbers, you can get them too.
I think the Nine Swords, which the OP sees as a suicide card, is the sixty-third in the deck. Actually, it isn't. Different decks have the Minor suits occurring in different orders, and there is no rule about it. Two of the decks I've reviewed here - and there aren't that many of them - even have the Minors arranged in groups of four of each number, not in suits.
So to get the 63-suicide thing happening you have to:
1) choose carefully what deck you tie your system to and ignore all others, and
2) massage the numbers carefully.
As an intellectual exercise, I give full marks and kudos to the OP!
