Flotsam and Jetsam Divination Kits! The Little Drummer Girls

Anam Cara

Whew!

Okay, I've skimmed this thread
(haven't attempted the main thread yet!)
and I think I'm some what caught up.

Thank you Drummer Girls for sharing your
addresses via PM - I love the idea of sending
to everyone at the same time - it will be fun
to see what lands where and when! I'll share
my addy, too, when finished with this post...

As to my preferences: while I see the attraction
of "Blood and Bones" type items (and am happy
to participate by sharing these with others)
it's definitely not "my bag" (so to speak!)
I like shiny things, "charm"ing things, old
things...but not plastic, fluffy, fairy things...
Think what a Victorian lady might have collected...
Metal charms, jet beads, beach glass,
small sea shells and natural (not polished) stones, engraved buttons...
(I know, I know...many Victorians collected bones,
butterflies and owl pellets and the like - I'm afraid
I'm too squeamish for that!)

I love the idea of including stories for items too
(assuming there IS a story, or that we can
REMEMBER the story! As I just hit my half-century
mark, my memory isn't what it used to be!)

'K...I think I'm caught up...please let me know if
I missed anything!

I am curious as to why we require a theme?

We are all so different, a theme may be restrictive no?

cardlady22

To me, a theme is more like a starting point- where you stand to see what the person is most comfortable with. Then I plan to look out into the far corners from that vantage point and see what calls.

ETA: I'm a summer solstice baby, so you can forgive me, right?

I thought we were supposed to post our likes and dislikes...?

I'm sure I'll be happy with whatever you Drummer Girls send!
(as long as it's not boney, bloody, fluffy, plastic-y, neon-colored, or christian-themed...
sounds like a long list, but really not THAT limiting...is it?)

As for likes, I was just going with what I've seeded my own bag with so far
(and where my interests lie, in general)...
a Victorian sewing thimble and a piece of beach glass...

The main thing 'limiting' me is the narrow types of things on hand. I need to make a little trip out for some kinds of materials.

Satori did say on the main thread that mail-out could be pushed to the 15th, right? Is everyone here okay with that?

Milfoil

Ah, I see. Sorry, I mistook the 'theme' bit. I thought we were having a theme for the whole group. :)

It's ok, just pat me on the head and send me back to my corner . . .

I think I've got one package ready to go....
Are we posting here what we are sending or are we keeping it as a surprise?

Milfoil

Oooh surprise me! ;)

I have all parcels ready to go except for 1 which needs one more item.

I will post some details of the objects with each parcel but it may be later on in the week when I get a moment.

Anam Cara

Surprise me too, please!

My out-going packages will be in the mail no later than this Friday :)
