Documentary: The Secret History of Playing Cards

I can't do searches right now for some reason, so hopefully this hasn't been posted before. I gave a quick scan of the recent threads and didn't see anything similar.

I just watched this documentary over at Top Documentary Films. It's a pretty basic overview of both playing cards and tarot, slightly dramatic as is the wont of such programs in my experience, but the historical elements are quite solid and the people they interview have very interesting things to say. Lots of good images of various historical cards.

Some minor quibbles, but overall, good documentary to waste 45 minutes on! I especially liked the factoid about mothers leaving playing cards with the children they abandoned at orphanages.

This sounds interesting. When I get back to my regular old clunker computer, and don't have to use this old clunker laptop, I will try to pull this up.

The crowned one

I saw this one too and enjoyed it, a pretty good effort and entertaining.
