Making Runes -- Different Kinds of Construction Materials

This is a brainstorming thread. Please enter your findings too.

Materials I've seen used include:
- Rocks and stones
- Wood
- Seashells
- Paper cardstock (i.e., Rune Cards)
- Plastic Cubes (e.g., Rune Dice)
- Virtual (Rune Divination Websites + Rune Software)

Other possibilities:
- Poker chips
- Pieces of foolscap
- Coinage (i.e., rune-inscribed coins)
- Playing cards (i.e., rune-inscribed playing cards)

I'm sure that I've missed something.

Polymer clay...stuff that's easily moldable, and bakes hard in the oven. Yay! My favorite material for making anything!

I also know of someone who made really nice runes from small pieces of stained glass.
