Majecot: I like it too. I also love the fact that in Switzerland, shops are not allowed to open at night nor on Sundays. This is an absolute no-no by the trade unions who want to protect family life and also defend women who need to be home in the evenings to look after their children. (Of course, this doesn't affect hospitals or other essential services.)
The people who own the businesses regularly try to get these laws changed - I fear greatly that they will one day - especially as Switzerland is unfortunately moving slowly away from socialist ideals to raw capitalistic exploitation.
But up to now, the trade unions have stood fast... Also in Switzerland, when laws like that get changed, people have to vote. And up to now, people have always voted pretty much sensibly about this. But even they are changing and sometimes seem to vote against their own interests
