Me either, Village Witch!

I am happy to wait to have Anna do them the way she wishes. I am glad she really thinks about each card!

I'm not surprised that I love her cards. The Anna K. tarot is among my most reliable and beloved reading decks. The Ship is wonderful. I love the motif of the movement on the water, the meeting of man-made engineering and shapeless primal element so much that I collect such images in a pinboard. Anna's interpretations are wonderful. In a league of her own as originality goes - and it seems to me that this deck will be easy to read nevertheless.

I agree, Nemia!

There is something no only about Anna's art style, but also in her perspective, how she defines, sees things. She is an original :-).

I know I will love using this deck!

FROM ANNA. K - THE FIRST of TWO WOMAN CARDS

Dear folks,

I have finally finished the first of my two Woman cards! It took me so long because I had a really hard time figuring out how to paint a woman without giving her too many defining, specific characteristics - like specific facial expression, skin colour, or age.

I wanted my Woman's looks to be maximally "unspecific", so that she could serve as a good representative for as many different types of women as possible.

This is the reason why I painted her from an angle which doesn't show her face. If you are wondering about the landscape she is walking through you will find an explanation of the image on the interpretation page, as usual.

Here is she:

The first of my two Man cards will follow soonish; he's basically ready too but still requires a few finishing touches.

When the second Man/Woman will be ready I have no idea yet. I have quite a clear concept already, but I'm still in the sketching phase.

Warmest wishes,
Anna

oh, wonderful! After reading why she drew the woman in this way, I so get it. I think she did a great job with this card and keeping it so broad open as to be able to represent any woman of any race and any age really too. Good job! Now, I'm wondering how she'll do the man too. T.Y. Anna & GD

ANNA. K's FIRST Man card

Dear folks,

I have finished the first of my two Men cards!

Here he is:

So the deck in theory is now full, all the usual 36 cards are there - hurray!!! But I'm still working on a second pair of Man/Woman and a Wild Card.

I have no idea when they'll be finished, so I will only give you a rough guess: While things could in theory go quickly, I often get so involved in little details that it's not unlikely it'll take me another month or two.

In the meantime, those of you who are interested in my individual approach to the cards' meanings: I've uploaded the comparison pages for cards 1 to 14 so far and will bit by bit upload the rest in the coming week or two.

Warmest wishes,
Anna
