Possibly the Worst Book Ever

ETA: I just hope the sitter knows they're getting a reading from a magician rather than a Tarot reader. I also hope the sitter knows it's for entertainment purposes and for 'an experience' rather than the real thing. Guys like this have a tendency to ruin our reputations. Just saying...

I think you are completely entitled to your opinion, so please don't feel pressured by others into swallowing that 'it's a cheating lying world and you're just not with it if you don't somehow know that and go along with it and see that this person is just "entertaining" someone by teaching others to be deceitful robbers or whatever'. I have not read the book, and am only basing this on the don't-get-bullied aspect of it all, which I personally dislike when it comes up here and elsewhere. Whether it's "his job" or not, it can still be offensive and creepy to you or to me or to others--that argument has been made about things like violence in media, porn, ripping off folks in various ways, whatever, and just because there's a lot of it around doesn't mean it's good or not something that will upset people. YMMV. Just my opinion--and if the book is somehow showing how NOT to be conned, there can be value in that too, if it is made clear to the reader. Again, YMMV.

Really: if this is the case, then I would certainly do what I could online to make the situation clear. otherwise, the average reader will see your name, your photo, and what purports to be your words, and there is no reason for them to think it is not what it appears to be.

you are not the author

Hi Mark,
I admit I looked up the book on Amazon. It has you listed as the author. That is obviously not true. While you inadvertantly supplied the material, you did not write or publish the book.

I would contact Amazon regarding this. They are stealing your "name" by crediting you as the author.
