My real name, haven't sat down and tried it yet. Might one day

The numbers are supposed to be thirty-eight-seventy two (as in my date of birth )

Hi Lexigram

Welcome to ATF, we would love to hear of your experience and tips on lexigramming. My aunt was a passionate lexigrammer too, she also added a spouse to the letter count and came up with some interesting details, and past-life stuff. She said the easiest thing to do with finding words was to start of with 1 then 2...3...4...letter words eg:

Lucille
I
Lu (my family call me this)
Lie, ill, ice
lull, cull, lice, cell.......

She would do this for days.

Although I know that Linda says that it only really counts if you do it intuitively and not using any word generating programs.

Hello Phoenix Rising!
Like your Aunt many folks have been doing them and many for a long time.
I do not do them by Linda's rules which sadly upsets and even infuriates some folks. But the way I was taught predates her way.
Another thing is that even she had many errors in her examples. Most folks do not realize that.

Hi Lexi

Thanks for that. In my full name I have N T but not the O, but I don't have yes in my full name so I'm glad that Lie can be cancelled out. I'm not a very good liar anyway....lol!!

So you would say that it's ok to use a word generating program? I hope so as it can be such a tedious and long task trying to find all the words in a name or phase.

What about if words are in a different language? I speak Maori, so does that mean I can make Maori words or does it have to be english?

First off lie is a very common word. And as I explain here:
http://www.squidoo.com/lexi4you
There really is no such thing as a negative word.

As for using a generator....no problem!
See:

Other languages?
Again no problem!

This may help answer some of your questions too!

There were many links within that first links you can click on too.
I hope it is OK I am posting links to answer questions better.
It seems silly to retype it all.
Talk to you later!
And thanks to all who have replied and welcomed me here!

Thankyou Lexi for the links will suss them out.

I just realised I only have 11 letters to work with in my whole name, so it shouldn't take as long. I put them in alphabetical order and the number of times the letters appear.
