OMG...gosh thanks for all the effort I hope you copied and paste all those words, I would feel bad if you had to type all of them out.

I take it the hard part is putting it together in a phase, this should be fun!!

Thanks again Lexi

This is lovely and thanks for the tips. I read this in Linda's book years ago and lexigramed compulsively for ages. Your posts and references are inspiring me to take it up again.

I copied and pasted...it just does not post nice as it is supposed to.

As for putting the words together in a poem/phrases/sentences...
well here is an important tip!
You do not need to even do that to derive meaning from the words found withing your name!

Also one does not need to actually create a Lexigram in order to find things that resonate, on a word by word basis, not in only a Lexigram.

I have trance, writer, fairy, elf, and so forth in my name.

Even as stand alone words found within my name, and not put into Lexigram form, they are still meaningful to me.

For example a person could have no connection words to easily create a Lexigram without cheating and adding words or letters not found within their name, but has many very descriptive words or nouns!

They could take such words (we will pretend these words are in our imaginary person's name)

And numbering them and then under each word that they found within their name tell why the word means something to them personally!

For example:

1.ART
I am an artist!

2. MURDER
I murder the English language!LOL!
My kids scream bloody murder!

3. LIE
I love to lie in hammocks or on the beach!

4. SUN
Cool! Fits with my lying on the beach in the sun!

5. ROYALTY
I think in a past life I was!

6. DANE
Wow! I am part Danish!
7. RHYMES
one of my favorite words!

8. HEIRS
I hope to have one or two of these in the future

9.EYES
one of the first things I notice about a guy.

10.SELLS
I have had many jobs in retail

11. SLIM
I will be this again

11. ELMS
I hate elm bugs but like the trees

12. LYRISM
my new favorite word!

13. LILY
my favorite flower is an alstromeria lily

14. HILLS
my favorite place is the hills of Pennsylvania.

15. SILLY
I've been known to slip into this mind set from time to time.

16. INNER
I am introspective.

17. SMELL
I'm really sensitive to perfume it gives me a headache

18. SHIRE
a place I'd love to visit

19. SINNER
yep, that's me! lol!

20. LENS
I wear glasses!

Such a simple way of deriving meaning from one's name by way of simply looking at the word list found within one's name can tell one many things relevant!

Thanks so much for replying!
It can become quite addicting, this Lexigramming!
As said, I did not learn it from Linda, but long before from my great grandparents.
My basic logical rules are simple:

HI Lexi,

I've been reading your blogs. When you put some of the poems together, is it a intuitive process that you go through when you write them? I'm just amazed at how you can come up with phrases with sometimes hundreds of words to choose from.

I took all the words that could be related to health including food from the words contained in my name, could these words be clues to our own health, whether good or not so good? for eg I have alot of words that relate to the female area, although I don't have any major health problems yet. I'm glad I don't have the word "Cancer" in my name.

I also did the same process with career or work related words. Quite interesting really.

I also noticed you aren't doing reports at the moment, will you be doing them again in the future?

I rarely consult a list. I have been doing them so long they just kind of write themselves. Actually at times there can be thousands of words depending on the name or phrase! The right words just stand out even when looking at a list, and the not relevant words kind of disappear. If I need a word but it is not there I try to find synonyms to replace it.
Try your hand at the ABC Challenge! Its alot harder than it looks!

They could be clues and depending on how you interpret their meanings such can go either way. For example:
Negative words found when Lexigramming....

And here for how using abbreviations can give a false reading...

Indeed!
My name has WRITER! I hope to get published soon and have already done editing and proof reading for a few published books.
