Snake dream

D Sparkles

Last night I dreamt that there was one in the house. I remember my mum stepping on it's tail and then it coming towards me as though it was going to bite me. I remember seeing it's tongue hanging out. I opened the back door in the hope that the snake would go out into the garden. Instead, it head-butted the door, shutting it. I can't remember anything after that. I actually like snakes, although I'm scared of them. I love seeing them in the wild; I get an adrenalin rush when I see them.

Any ideas what my dream could mean?

Is there something that you're trying to "brush under the rug"? Maybe a strong minded external "force" is trying to make you face it or will be. I dream a ton and normally can't make sense of them right away, sometimes they never make sense, the symbolism is lost on me.

Thanks for replying. Nope, nothing that is being brushed under the rug. Symbolism is lost on me too!

i used to dream a lot of snakes from childhood and it was frightening.

then i learned astrology my sir was saying that those whose horoscopes are afflicted by north or south node they get dreams about snakes.

snakes are also evil spirits who try to harm our souls when during sleep our soul travels in astral world.

so i had done some specific prayers and mantras to get rid of the past life curse and troubles from south node (Kaalsarp Dosh)

after that the snake dreams siezed and i got some peace in etheric world and physical world.

I had snake dreams often as a child, felt they were poking my bed from underneath and was scared to death. I think it was because my home was not that safe due to my parent's issues.

I also have them sometimes as an adult; they are often in an area of a home or something and are near me and it frightens me and I can't be comfortable and not sure how to get them out and so feel kind of trapped there with them and hoping they don't hurt me, but they do not harm me, so I kind of think they are there because of some fear or insecurity I am not confronting. I am not a specialist on dreams but that's my take and I'd love to hear other comments on it.

Do you perhaps tend to bite your tongue around your mother, or feel like you have to control your anger in some way?

thanks for sharing your experience. I don't think I've ever dreamt about a snake before. I'll pay more attention to my dreams now - see if it's a reoccurring thing. I'm glad got you've got peace now. :)

That's interesting because my parents also had issues when we were in our childhood home. I'm sure I was in that home in my dream. I can't say I'm deeply affected by my parents issues, but when I was when I was a kid.

No, not at all. There is someone in my life who is the same age as my mum. I have to control my anger when I'm around her. It seems she likes to stir trouble, but she's in a position of authority, so I have to be careful not to lose it.
