Sigilcraft, anyone?

I was wondering if anyone can point me to a good source for learning sigilcraft? I'm looking at a couple books on the subject: Practical Sigil Magic by Frater UD, and Thought Symbols Magick by Colin Smith. I'm also purchasing Benebell Wen's Tao of Craft (on Fu sigils/talismans) and am interested in qabalistic/Hebrew sigils such as the ones in the image here:

I believe Tarot and sigilcraft go hand in hand. An article on the blog Rune Soup had a quote that rang true to me (paraphrasing): Divination is listening to the universe, and Magic is speaking to it. Tarot is a form of divination in 2-D, just as sigilcraft is magic in 2-D. This is congruous with the holographic universe theory, which suggests that all the information in the universe is held on a 2-dimensional plane that is projected in 3-dimensional form, like a hologram. This is a model of the universe that is useful to me, magickally-speaking. I haven't ventured much into magick and I think sigils are a good place for me to start.

I have three books covering talismanic magic from a qabalistic perspective that might interest you:

How to Make and Use Talismans by Israel Regardie
Talismanic Magic by Robin Skelton
Techniques of High Magic: A Manual of Self-initiation by Francis King/Stephen Skinner

Thanks Barleywine. :) I found Regardie's book in PDF online. A good place to start.

I agree about Regardie' s book, an excellent little volume.

Are you familiar with A. O. Spare ? Also I did a bit of work with magick squares and planetary Kameas . Fun stuff, if you like art and graphics . Colouring can be worked from a magical correspondence scheme

I really enjoyed Practical Sigil Magic! An articulate and concise book to get a working start from. I think he mentions A. O. Spare a few times too. Also would like to check out Sigil Magic: for Writers and Other Creatives by T. Thorn Coyle.. https://www.amazon.com/Sigil-Magic-..._SR100,160_&psc=1&refRID=D8X8KVRZ6Y348HYFF1JB

I'm certainly drawn to the idea of pairing tarot and sigil work...sometimes I pull cards to meditate/focus on/embody, or lay out an artistic/archetypal map of the intent, goal, or magical working, before drawing up and charging a sigil. It's a natural and satisfying combo to me.
