I like it and don't remove it. In my deck collection, the Touchstone, Maria Celia and Silhouettes have it, and I think it's a welcome touch of humour. When it comes up, I interpret it as a nice and funny surprise, a very light and easy touch of fun, not connected to any system or hierarchy. It's a contemporary motif and that's great.
It reminds me a bit of the Cologne Cathedral, a Gothic church that has a very long history. Every responsible architect gets a sculpted portrait of himself somewhere up on the towers. Among the last ones was one with a cell phone.

He lives there now peacefully with late medieval imagery, a sign and symbol of the fact that a Gothic cathedral is never done and finished.
The tarot is alive, too, and the happy squirrel is one of the signs for that.
