I am interested because I have tried getting rid of a scent on a deck and had zero success, despite trying for several months and using coffee and baking soda, amongst other things.

I've put the cards in layers on newspaper, put them on the grillage. Then I added half a pack of ground coffee on the lowest baking plate. I turned the oven on on low setting, and left the door a bit ajar. I did so for 3 days, for about 8-9 hours. I have a very basic oven. Nothing fancy.
They still smell a bit, but it got much better.
