Farschian Fortune Telling Cards: 2. Sounds of Creation

zorya

the painting for this card is titled, sounds of creation

here we have an angel playing a large golden harp (as opposed to the smaller lyre, on other cards) . there are flowers almost covering her, and birds are swirling all around.

i can’t help but think of ‘first there was the word’. the sound or music (word), making manifest.

In persian symbolism, every flower is said to be a ‘thought bouquet’. here we have birds, phoenixes and maybe birds of paradise, or peacocks, each carrying flowers, flying off in all directions, spreading the flowers.. perhaps spreading the thoughts, or words. maybe that which we create through words (sounds) spreads and multiplies?
