need Symbolism book

I would like a Tarot book on Symbolism that is set up like a Dictionary, instead of a story.

I already have the, "Tarot History and Symbolism "by Robert Place, and the, "Big Little Book of Tarot", but none of these are set up like a Dictionary.

Does such a book exist?

Anyone want to part with theirs?

Please let me know.

Hey,

For Tarot specific symbolism, check out Pictures from the Heart by Sandra Thomson. It is literally a dictionary format guide to the symbols used in Tarot decks.

For general symbolism my favorite title is Cirlot's (slightly more academic) Dictionary of Symbols or Tom Chetwynd's (slightly looser) Dictionary of Symbols.

And don't you love all the imaginative titling?

My favourite, and the one I always recommend, is Chevalier and Gheebrandt's Dictionary of Symbols - it's published by Penguin. It's a rich resource, and it also includes all 22 Major Arcana of the Tarot (among thousands of other entries).
