This came out of my Tarot Companion book by Tracy Porter...

It shows the runes and which tarot card it refers too..(i kept out the numbers of the majors that she has in the book..like 4 Emperor)

This site has a table showing Tarot – Rune correspondences between runes and tarot. Quite different from Tracy Porter’s.

Personal feelings? Correlations are likely coincidental, and lack history.

Then again…what if I’m wrong…

I just put it out there...I do not know if they correspond together..I have not worked enough with either one to know..Tracy puts Berkana..as Reberth..and Judgment...Maybe it is just thekey workds she used...but I dont see rebirth and judgment together...I would see that as more of death...

Umbrae...You have mentioned in previous posts that you use runes with tarot.....As a clarifier? do they go together sometimes..or is it just the 2 systems work together?

I use Runes and Tarot concurrently quite often.

I prefer to perform a Rune reading first, followed by a Tarot reading.

Suppose a person is questioning a romantic topic. The runes tend to dig down below the surface, clarifying exactly what the querent should be asking about during a Tarot reading.

The difficulty with Tarot, is that without a clear question, the response will be just as unclear.

Malachite and I once spent around an hour on the phone making up some correspondances between Tarot and Runes. They didn't all agree with Porters.

Personally, I would have put Berkano a the Empress, Othila as Judgement... BUt that's cuz I see these Runes a little differently to Porter.

I too had problems with Porter's Rune/Tarot correspondence. Some of the Runes she assigned to certain Tarot just didn't make sense.

Then again I use Thoth and the Rune correspondence in relation to these cards are different IMO.
