I've come to see this card as indicating that skills without direction don't do you much good. Like someone who can draw or paint, but complains that they don't know what to draw...they want someone to tell them what to do. The Father card is interesting in comparison, you are being taught, not only skills, but also focus and direction for those skills.
This card asks how are you using your skills, your talents? Where is your focus?
