Fairytale Tarot - Four of Swords

moderndayruth

What I felt from this card initially and strongly is inner peace. I was drown to the distaff as it reminded all the things done with
a lot of love, care and patience, things rustique , things antique, things that have special sentimental value for us, maybe something we inherited – it could refer to a hobby/craft, something we learned from an older member of a family, maybe how to embroider or to make patchwork.
The story accompanyng the card is the Sleeping beauty.
Karen notes that in modern retelling the story usually ends when the prince kisses the beauty waking up everyone around which leads to the marriage the very evening. In older versions there is a second cycle focused on the princess Ogress mother and this takes place before the Prince and Princess finally live happily.
