What Are Runes ?

Are runes cards or stones ? I've seen them in stores as cubes
with the rune symbols carved into them.

I'm a bit confused because I'm getting the impression from this
forum that runes are cards.

Can runes be cards, stones and cubes ????? The actual runes
are symbols, right ?

Runes, are letters – or symbols. The word Rune comes from Runae, which means whisper (but not a in “a secret”) but in the sound that wind makes – whilst playing the grass harp.

Runes may be carved into wood, stone, or metal. In recent years folks have printed them on cards – assuming that if the teutonic/norse had the technology for making paper that they would have made runic cards.
