13th full moon of the year

greatdane

and last one of this year. Seems like a lovely auspicious time to do something magical :).

I thought the full moon was yesterday, Dec. 27? Course, it looks full still, but the moon calendar I go to said it was yesterday, I thought. I was DELIGHTED, since the granddaughter was just born yesterday too. not that it matters, I guess--really--but to say you were born on the day of a full moon.............well......you know.

with or without the full moon though, Dec. 27 was magical for OUR family! :D

Eowyn

I have had the most intense little period of time, between the 21st 'til today.

I think this happened because I was prepared and are things that both were catalists to futher things, good to come, and harvesting time. Things that are meaninfull and somewhat trascendental.

I wonder if this is just me, or this small period of time between solstice/equinox and 13nd full moon, was different and more intense for anybody else.

It just feels important and auspicious to me

Thanks for sharing that, Eowyn. Maybe there is something to the 12/21 date that is special in some way, magical. Ah, CelticNoodle, that Bad Astronomy link (cool name for a site) is the one I saw that made me post :))) Your grandbaby WAS born on a great day!

Well, I found that second site, telling what your personality would be like if you were born under a certain moon very interesting too. :D

So, time will tell if little Katie/Kate will be like they say of people born on the day of a full moon--

FULL MOON

The Full Moon rises at sunset and sets at the sunrise. People that are born under the phase of the Full Moon are idealists. As this is the halfway point of the moon's cycle, those born under its power are able to see both sides of an argument and are keenly aware of not only their needs, but also the needs of others. They may have difficulty choosing between conforming while still retaining their uniqueness and personal freedom. These people may spend much time searching for philosophies and religions that they can relate to.

I found out that on my birth date, the moon was in the First Quarter, which started on 09/28 and then became a full moon on 10/04. So, my birthday was 10/01--right in the middle of becoming a full moon. so, not sure if I'd go with full moon or the first quarter--which is this:

FIRST QUARTER MOON

The First Quarter Moon rises at noon and sets at around midnight. People born under this phase of the moon are masters at handling crisis and do well when springing to action during emergencies. They are highly capable of making immediate critical decisions and then acting upon them. These are the pioneers of this world and they will probably unintentionally create conflict all around them while challenging anyone in their path. These are very ambitious and self-motivated people who are armed with a strong desire to achieve.

or perhaps somewhere in between. :p

Good thread, as usual, by you, Great Dane!

I wanted to answer this too. I also had a very 'odd' few days since the 21st. the hubby & I did travel-flying on Friday the 21st from NY to Tampa, FL and then on the 22nd we got on a cruise ship to spend Christmas in Mexico. This is, I think, our 7th or 8th cruise, and I must say that both the hubby & I agree that it was the oddest cruise ever for us over all. We enjoyed it--but not as much as the other cruises because weird things kept occurring. I never really attributed it to the 13th moon, the 12-21-12 thingy or anything else. Who knows? Maybe it is just...life?
