2 of Cups as an Action Card in Love?

Basically I went to see a psychic last week, she brought the persons name up who I really want to be with, and said the strong familiarity/longing I feel is because I've been with them in past lives, but she thinks he may not be right for me in this life. I did a reading about the reading because I'm left feeling a bit confused.

- The card I drew for "what spirit wants me to know" was the 2 wands reversed.
- The card I drew for why the universe brought me to that reading was the 9 cups reversed.
- The card I drew as a general symbol of the reading was the World reversed.
- Then, the card I drew as a "What action to now take about love/him" is the 2 of cups.
- The action card I pulled for career was temperance.
- The future card I pulled was the king of pentacles.

I'm trying to figure out an interpretation from the 2 of cups and the reading altogether. Does this mean I ignore what she said completely and make the action of being loving, etc and reaching out to them? And that we are meant to be together at all?

Or does it mean something entirely different?

This is racking my brains as I'm unsure what to do about this next, any help would be greatly appreciated!
