Knight of Swords

I am trying to find out about the symbology in the Knight of Swords card. Are they birds on his cloak & in the sky, what do they mean? Also what do the Butterflies & heart on the horses bridle indicate?

Butterflies and birds are both creatures that fly in the air - air is the element of the Swords suit so go very well with the Knight of Swords.
If you look on most of the swords cards you will find birds and butterflies.
Butterflies also signify transformation as thoughts and communication can be transforming.
Notice the wind in this card too. This knight is someone who thinks and acts quickly, he doesn't like to hang around.
