Travel cards

strangebrew

Which cards would you see as the travel cards

I use 6 swords (over water), the world and the fool as well as 8 wands....

Does anyone have any other methods

Thanks

Sophie

The Chariot often comes up in my readings as a travel card.

The 8 of Cups - travelling away from something.

And strangely, The Hermit - a trip alone, sometimes some kind of pilgrimage.

all the above already mentioned, but also

the page of wands, (generally a trip that is career related or educational related--ie:going to college)

all the knights-
knight wands-generally a vacation trip, something looked forward to
knight cups, a trip via boat, car, bus, train
knight swords traveling by airplane, (because this knight moves quickly-that is why I think of air travel)
knight pentacles-short trip, like a hike, walking a trail, bicycle trip, etc.

interesting that you mention the Hermit, Fudugazi, as I never truly thought of it that way, but yes, I do see it now!

I also wonder what people would think of seeing travels in the Death card. I hadn't really thought about it before, but I imagine it could mean moving towards a new place in life--a new address of sorts and leaving the old one behind you. any thoughts on this?

Death for travel, i see this as move that is very dreaded by the people but after the move things will never be the same.
