The Camoin Method especially prides itself on using the Tarot de Marseille with cards in combination. Of course a 1-card-means-something is still appropriate; however, the reader should be alert to the fact that "combo platters" are possible.
To order from the combo menu, the reader is alert to "sentences," wherein cards are in proximity-- not because each card should be read 1 by 1, but because they together form an idea or sentence.
Here's some examples for stimulation.
Medical Hospital
End of administrative suspension (La Justice cuts the rope)
(Moving from right to left, following the gazes, so that we can see that such is possible)
Investing in the business, family ~ Investing in the family business
A business partnership put into writing with a trusted associate.
Trusted associate (19) business certificate (21) in writing (2).
These examples are just the tip of the iceberg. The combinations are endless.
I should point out that Kris Hadar is also really big on these combinations forming sentences or ideas, so that the cards are taken in combination.
I always look for interesting combinations first, before looking for a card-by-card interpretation. Very quickly, groupings of cards are "accounted for" in that they form 1 idea.
The Camoin Method particularly emphasizes cards in relation or combination.
Be alert to these relations, we must!
I am a Star Wars Nerd, I am coming out of the closet.
