Clow Cards: The Windy

This indicates a need to push things along by increasing your energy and motivation. However, don't over do it. By becoming blustery, you not only blow cobwebs away, but possibly everything else in the path. Wind will hopefully clear away everything that has stagnated, leaving behind a nice clear ground for starting anew.

Are you blowing hot or cold whereby you are not focused, or are you blustery at the wrong time and in the wrong place? Try to control that energy & motivation and channel it in the right direction.

The Windy (King of Spades [Swords])
Upright: A judge, a powerful commander, a firm friendship holder but often overcautious, a wise counselor. A man ambitious and successful in the higher walks of life. There's a big possibility of getting useful information. Observe the situation around you with more caution than you usually would. A decision is important at this time and place.

Reverse: Evil intentions, an obstinate person, decisions or judgments may seem unfair

Meanings inspired from the anime

When Sakura found and opened the Book of Clow, she read the name of The Windy card out loud and a strong wind started to blow. As a result, all cards except for Windy were scattered around town.

So, to me, this card has the role of the trigger in a situation, it can also signify the beginning of something.

The Windy has a very gentle personality and gives off a positive energy. She can represent a helper.

In the second part of the story, when Sakura has to transform the Clow Cards into Sakura Cards, The Windy is transformed when Sakura uses her to catch a terrorized and excited card. Windy manages to make the card feel secure. She has a calming effect.

When used for fortune telling, she has the meaning of news and transmission.

She is one of the 4 elemental cards, she is related to the Moon and to Eastern magic.
According to the cards under her power, she controls matters related to the air, speed and sound.
