Dragon Tarot -- Ace of Coins

G Dren

Dragon Tarot by Peter Pracownik

From the Little White Book

This suit represents the Earth element, which shows material and financial conditions. In the oridinary playing cards, it is shown as Diamonds.

Ace of Coins – A new doorway opening up, workwise.
On this card I can make out three faces in the stones (Jester | Human Head | Skull), that the dragon is leaning into with a dark opening that a Dragon Lily tries either to distract peeking in or entice peeking in. There is a labyrinth carved upon the stone above the opening, which is is the Labrynth of our Coin/Pentacle emblem re-displayed in the mouth of the Grand opening; which is decorated with stalactites. The path to the lower opening is dotted with mushrooms, and there is a light inside the opening. Wind blows the Green Drakes tentacles as his head is turned almost as if acknowledging you. The stones themselves imitate clouds.

My Interpretation of Card Images

Ace of Coins: Root of the Powers of Earth

Tiger Lily: According to many beliefs the Tiger Lily represents Mercy and compassion. Though associated with the Goddess Venus: Kwan: Y’in: and Juno, Tiger Lilies are more connected to the aggressive aspects of the feminine.

Mushrooms: There are 4 mushrooms on the path, which are symbolic of the borders of consciousness and the awareness of other worlds (states of consciousness), traditionally associated with the Faery Realm. Some significances of four = 1 – (Seasons – Spring | Summer | Fall | Winter) 2 – (Elements – Water | Earth | Fire | Air) 3 – (Directions – West | North | South | East) 4 – (Tarot Suits – Coins | Wands | Swords | Cups), even pyramids are built upon a base of four.
Also know for their female energy

Stalactites: Once carried for protection and male fertility, Stalagmites produce upward moving energy, while stalactites direct it downward; for increasing or banishing power respectively. Also being significant as earth Pillars.

Cave: - Symbol of the Womb/Tomb… Portal/Threshold… Goddess.

Maze/Labyrinth: - Carved above the cave opening represents the womb with uterine passage… Direct purpose… Symbol of journey

Tree: - Regeneration… life cycles… incorporates all three sacred zones- Heaven, Earth, Underworld

The Fool Image: - Here the Fools eyes are wide open and focused, The serene look upon the face indicates the total peace and purity the Fool (Yourself) still exudes. Reference to the Fool.

Human Head Image: - Your speech has softened and gained precision, hearing sharpened, sight has cleared, and your senses have heightened. Reference to Judgment.

Skull Image: - Ye old habits of incompletion have passed-by; you are now fearless, and free of self restrictions. Reference to Death.

Mouth of Small Cave: - Careful, over-sightedness can lead to arrogance, over-confidence, and essentially bring down all you’ve worked for and swallow you whole. Loss of self… spiritually.

Mushrooms Re-visited

Red Topped Mushrooms: Due to the fact that they carry red tops - perhaps; more like magic mushrooms, or meaning illusion of order, calm, cool, and collectedness??? For me: I am starting to think that the mushrooms are tempting you back down the old dark path, and the lily is there to warn or stop you. The Tiger lily; after all, is a strong feminine aggression. In other words - Stop before digressing any further!

Our Ace of Coins still means quite plainly: New doorways opening up - work-wise!

The Big Cave Opening: This is the beginning of your new enlightened path full of light shimmering off of everything. And the Dragons head is turned towards you beckoning you to follow into this gainful adventure.
