French Cartomancy

thatonegirl

Alright, I was browsing my local borders and noticed this deck. It says " French Cartomancy" The true cartomancy from the hands of Madame Lenormand.
It has a translation of the same in french on the bottom of the box. Which is blue, published by Lo Scarabeo.
Has anyone had experience with these? I couldnt find them on Aeclectic.
ETA:
( I did purchase them.)

@thatonegirl:
They are another version of the small Lenormand decks.

You can work with them just like any other of the small Lenormand oracles.

Ah, alright.
I was wondering, because there are 36 cards, but they dont have any rhymes. And they arent the Astro mythological deck. ( which I was hoping they were similar to.)

Rhymes are annoying! LS French Cartomancy looks like a very nice Lenormand. If the card stock is up to snuff, I'd put it right up there with Piatnik. Can't vouch for the book, though.

Update - I got it. The cardstock is not stellar, but adequate. Here are a few images:

This is subjective, but I think it's probably the best-looking Lenormand out there, or at least tied with the Piatnik. The Piatnik is more naturalistic, this one has that slightly surreal, antique look.

I got the deck only, not the deck-and-book set. The excerpts in the LWB make me glad I did it this way, I'm not entirely sure Ms. Tuan knows what she is talking about. I suspect the images, being very old, came into the public domain and she copyrighted them and made a deal with Llewellyn to write a book. Which makes her a business woman, not necessarily a card expert. Anyway I'm glad there is an option to purchase the deck only, it is a beautiful deck.
