It begins with an A (Arcanum?) and ends with a number

Prajapati

Greetings:

Elsewhere in a reading forum here, I saw a book mentioned that begins with an A and my memory wants to say it resembled the word Arcanum or some such. The ending of the title had a number and the poster mentioned that it was a beautiful work of prose, illuminating the major arcana???

Normally, I write such titles down immediately but my absent mindedness wins out this time. Does anyone know what I'm referencing?

Signed, Poor Gemini going crazy trying to find this needle in the haystack.

Could you mean the Book of Tokens?
Not a number and an A, but put out by the "Builders of the Adytum" and is prose on the Major Arcana...

It's been a while, I know... and it's the author that starts on "a" (or rather, doesn't), and has no number... but could it perhaps be Meditations on the Tarot: A Journey into Christian Hermeticism by Anonymous? They are written like letters addressed to "Unknown Friend", one for each Major (duh), with a lot of quotations and some references that appear to be listed in footnotes.
