Thanks Dew really appreciated that. It's this sort of niche subtle stuff that's so important to know in a reading thank you very much xx I haven't got to the point where I would know an action card from a tonal card - is there a rule or someway of knowing - is it specific to the cards or dependent on what's around them? - thank you xx
Oh I made up that word tonal - for this context I mean - I'm not a specialist. The more you use them, the more you'll see how they blend. After I posted I thought oh, on their own they mean exactly what you said. But when they're with say dog or snake, there's a whole different music they play.
They can all be tonal (my Term) or more determinant in their impact but it depends on combinations.
I didn't see these ones as showing no action but that's why I posted. I'm too close to the situation to get an objective view. I think it's the objective view that kind of sees how they fall together.
So what I was saying before was rider with dog means to me message that's positive and friendly or from a friend. Dog carries more spotlight (this goes back to the question too...)
Whereas rider with lily might be a sexual message or delivery. Again the dominant thing is the lily card. The rider kind of infers a suggestion of communication somehow.
