Robert Place's alchemy course

Having just picked up his Alchemical Tarot deck I realize I have a lot of homework to do to on the subject of alchemy to be able to approach it. I was just hoping to get some opinions on his course from those who have ordered it. Was it was worth the price( $50.00), and does cover all the material you would need to get the most out of his deck? I wish the book of the same name that was originally published to go with the deck was still in print.

The Alchemical Tarot study group in this forum has Robert Place's complete explanation for each card taken directly from his book. Leisa (who published the new edition) posted them. Just look for her posting. The only thing missing is his general explanation of alchemy. You can buy a book like the Idiot's Guide to Alchemy, or just do some internet research. (His description of the Minor cards was very short).
