Silly question

Ok, so my best friend hates it when I ask him hypothetical questions all the time because he views them as being pointless. So I started thinking about it, since I need to get my hypothetical question fix somewhere is it possible to ask the tarot hypothetical questions?

I think so. The outcome of a spread is in itself hypothetical, imo. The cards guide you through possible steps to the possible outcome. "What if I take this into consideration?" The cards seem to say, "Then this might happen."

I would think you ask your friend hypothetical questions in order to get his opinion/advice about possible scenarios.

To me, tarot gives us advice and then we make decisions based upon our thoughts and feelings about that advice.

Sounds like the same thing to me so I'd say that yes, tarot can give you advice about your hypothetical questions. In reality, all questions are probably hypothetical since many, many probabilities exist in the world.
