Tarot & The Art of Story Telling

Djcooler

It's gotten to the point that I feel I have read so many interesting books on Tarot that I'm not sure where to turn next. One of the biggest joys I have is trying to create and tell a story with each reading, something that I had never really thought about prior to being introduced to James Ricklef's two books on the tarot, because that is the very essence of both of his books. Are there any more books like his that explain (with sample readings perhaps) the process of weaving the cards together to create a story-type reading? I have found that when I am able to do this my readings are much more insightful, and I would love to read more books on this.

Any suggestions?

I don't know that this is a "how-to" book or a frank explanation, but Italo Calvino's The Castle of Crossed Destinies is all about the possibilities of using the cards in this way. His is the famous (?) line, "Tarot is a storytelling machine."

I second "Castle of Crossed Destinies" - most unusual. Worth the read!
