towards black and white

Ravenswing

Hi guys--

Well, we've got that great new Pen deck, and I just saw Richard Pickman's scans. Pencil rendering is very underrated in my opinion.

I've got a coming deck in progress (which comes after a deck in mid-stream). Wands have become snakes. so-- here's one from each suit...

Sidhe-Ra

These are very welldrawn and rather fascinating. I love seeing people willing to try something a bit different from the standard images!

I shall look forward to following your progress...

Blessings,

I haven't ever learned very much about Kabalah and the Tree of Life, but these are very well-drawn and very well-thought-out cards. I think they'll be giving great new insights to those who use them, for sure, whether they know Kabalah or not. :)

RW it is great to see you working on this deck again. I can't wait to see more. Very exciting!

I like the varied and interesting composition and the use of pencil. Go ravenswing, go! :)

HOLMES

yup I like it

the ace of cups or whatever you call it,,
you are going to have the eyes overlap the cup in the finished product ?

will it be a black and white affair or plan to colour it up before it is released.

I am trying to figure the 36 on the 7 of nakes,,
just numerology speaking from an simple point of view and not gemtria
36 for most of us will either mean 9 or 6-3 = 3
even kabbalah speaking there are 32 paths not 36
can you eleborate on that for me?

hmm
the lady screaming, that is here in the bottom left and more eyes.
will the eyes become a motiff for the deck ?

is that a grave mark in the ace of swords ?and what does that mystical writing mean, is it hewbrew?

-------------
I like the artwork, it shows me a work in progress and a person new to the tarot imagery would wonder somethings.
so please be sure to have a good book for it :)
