What do I need to know??

Leviosa

Feeling very confused about this person. I don't know where this is going - mixed signals, my overthinking, a bunch of other things...

What do I need to know about K?

5 of Cups - Ace of Cups - 8 of Wands

K is still hung up on the past and all that it entails. Kind of like a stuck feeling that stops you from moving forward (5 of Cups). This makes it impossible for K to see the potential being offered in this Ace which really sounds like 4 of Cups so I'm not confident in that interpretation...With that being said, K will end up being fickle or just straight up leaving because it's easier than sorting through the mess (8 of Wands).

Tell me what you think of these cards.

K wants to get back to a "clean slate" emotionally (Ace of Cups) and is pondering how much satisfaction to sacrifice (5 of Cups) in order to pick up and move on. K has some anxiety about moving too quickly but feels a compulsion to "fly."

Do you think this emotional clean slate involves me or just K as an individual? I'm not fully understanding the rest of what you've said.

What satisfaction would be sacrificed by moving on? And moving too quickly as in being forward with me? Please explain :)

The 5 of Cups makes me think K is feeling emotionally "encumbered" by the situation and wants to make things simpler on an individual basis, not necessarily reacting to you since the Ace as potential energy is more "inward" than "outward." The 5 of Cups with its three spilled cups and two upright cups suggests what must be left behind and what can be salvaged. The "satisfaction" would be whatever K presently experiences with you, and the Ace would be a promise of emotional renewal that may be more to K's liking. As you surmise, the 8 of Wands is about movement or at least the expression of a desire to move. Depending on what K finds in the experience of the Ace, it could be movement toward you or away. The Wands are still in flight (although near the end of their journey in the RWS version), so I think the answer to that is inconclusive. The quint here is 14, Temperance, so K would still be weighing things.

If im understanding correctly, to sum this up: K is having an internal tug of war on whether to move on (away from me) or to stick around and work on this?

Given the question, I was already thinking this so I suspect the cards are saying something more. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, that's what it looks like to me. One thing I forgot to mention is the 8 of Wands is related to Mercury in Sagittarius and Temperance is also associated with Sagittarius, so "doing the right thing" is probably very much on K's mind. Sagittarius is generally high-minded but often a bit too honest (well, blunt, actually) for it's own good, so you might anticipate a bit of that.

5 of Cups - Ace of Cups - 8 of Wands

Looks to me he's grieving but things are speedily heading towards a new emotional start in the ace.

I was considering that the 8 of Cups might be representing a "bounce back" of sorts. I don't know, I just thought the deck might tell me something more insightful. But it's likely I'm reading too hard into the matter and it's not as "bad" or negative as I am thinking.

So you may be on to something. There's a bit of grief but nothing that won't be ended soon enough. Maybe I need to know this b/c the grief may be what's getting between/hindering us.

Oh and about the ace. I only read it as maybes and potential but followed by the 8 of wands, the ace will likely develop its energy so yes I think I agree w you.
