Gosh . . .
I've been trying so hard to respond to this, and my computer keeps crashing. Alas, I fear a terminal hardward problem.
Kiama, I am overwhelmed that you remember the Blue Bandanna Spread story. And flattered. Of course, being a writer yourself -- or if you are not, you will be, it doesn't take the cards to figure that out -- you know how good that feels.
As I remember, it was inspired by all the funny-sometimes sad-sometimes rambuctious stories you have told us. I wait for more. My favorite posters are the ones who spin a tale.
(Spin? I went away for a couple of months and came back to the all new. Right after I left -- I discovered upon my return -- Yarnie had sent me an email, which of course went unanswered. But here's a secret -- his full name is Yarnspinner. Great, huh?)
And remember the story arizonagirl told about a tarot reading that ended up involving a horse? (Well, sounds goofy that way, but, believe me, it was a great story.)
Kiama, I am sorry I do not have the Blue Bandanna Spread story. Just typed it, you know? I know the story -- I lived it -- but I'd have to start all over again. For those of you who are even mildly curious, I'll sum it up quick. Discovery of an amazing spread, a journey, the loss of the spread. Beginners stuff. In other words, a story without a punchline, a payoff, a conclusion. Kiama provided the denouement, if it ever had one.
But I am so flattered that anyone not only read it, but remembered the story. Thanks. Sincerely,
Talisman
