which deck is this, please?

That's the Hofamterspiel. It's not a Tarot, but a reproduction of a deck of historic playing cards. The full deck is here: http://trionfi.com/m/d0.php?decknr=0360

I just got a deck from R. Somerville; I'm very impressed with them.

... at least I think that's the deck you're pointing out ...

oh I meant at R Sommerville, the playing card sales company. I looked under Historical and regional.

Got to have them!

I had to have them too and ordered them yesterday.

Somerville information (think it's on the General--Reproduction page, but can't remember--put the number in their Search box)

11661 Ambraser Hofämterspiel £27.50

It's not there any more. There were two copies, I got one and I guess someone else bought the other one.

It was in General - Facsimile and Reproduction Packs.

I just noticed that the Jugenstil deck by Arnold Schoenberg seems to have finally sold out too--I wanted that one for ages but couldn't afford it.

I just checked too.

They're apparently out of stock. I knew there were only a couple of copies left when I ordered mine.

The cards are big and nearly square: about 10 cm by 14 cm. The cardstock is fairly sturdy without being thick. The book is a decent size and in English and German.

I've seen it come up the odd time on eBay; keep your eyes open.

Big cards are wonderful. These factors also explain the price, which was pretty steep.

I am finding wonderful playing card and transformation decks lately.
