The Minchiate Tarot deck - Four of Coins

Lady Iron Side

I have been pondering the four of coin, this is what I've come up with. when I look at this card the Elephant looks like it is a youngster and shows me strength, protective, strong, stable, secure and endurance. The warrior with the arrow, shows me defensive, attack, defending, ready for anything. the four coins have female faces of different status, ages, and poor to wealthy.

I can't remember who I got it from, but this is Hannibal invading Italy, eventually unsuccessfully.

It's about stablility and power, but not quite enough of it. It's about tenacity, but not necessarily failure.

Attrition and balance: This fits well with your interpretation, as you see the four statuses in the coins.
