I'm making a 'new' 'bear' tarot deck...

tarotlyn

Still waiting for your advice...see my previous post...

:heart::) ... two things:

1. Which version of the Ace of Swords do you all like best?

2. I ran into a BIG flaw! The new bear coins I switched to do NOT work when you
have to enlarge the coin (as in the Ace of Coins)...it becomes sooo distorted!!!
...and I could not find a bigger photo of it...so I just found a BETTER NEW COIN...

...and I have finished the Ace of Coins tonight using this new coin...see below...
NOTE: I can remove the word: 'Black' that is on the top of the coin if you think I should?
Right now, the coin reads: 'Black Bear'...but the bear is gold (gold coin of course!)
...so what do you think...leave it as it is or change it to another name or?

Anyway, I hope you like the card...

:) I just finished the Ace of Swords...in two versions! :p

Which one do you like? Version 1 or Version 2 (see both below)
Visually I like the darker sky, but for the meaning of the card, I do not think you would want it to look so stormy. So, the version with the brighter sky is my opinion.

Alta

I recognize that coin! :D

I think you could leave the wording as is.

I agree. I like the lighter sky in the Ace of Swords. And leave the word black on the coin in the Ace of Coins. It is after all a black bear on the coin. But then maybe many people wouldn't know this and wouldn't care if it were a grizzly on the coin. I'm just nutty about bears, so leave it as it.

Great work on these cards.

Wow this could easily be my favorite deck ever! I have 60+ decks and a large majority of them are animal decks but this one is a break it out and read with it deck for sure. Every time I check in I just like it more and more.

Thank you for creating this!

...hmmm...in my experience this ace means that it could be a new beginning in problems and troubles :bugeyed:
...and that your 'old' problems are over but there are some new things to deal with that are on the way...
...so some storminess would be good. Of course some people don't read the card this way,
so I will see about lightening it up.

Thanks for your comments, Alta.

 Okay, Alta, thanks! I will leave it on there then...makes my life easier too!

 Thank you! Soaring Eagle! I will lighten up the Ace of Swords sky and also leave
the words on the new coin as they are!

 Thank you, both for your help!

What about a balance between the dark and the light? I like the dark one better in some ways, but I can see peoples' point about the light. The dark one also allows the snow to show up, and there's something about the snow that I like :)

P.S. Where is the bear cub's ear on the Ace of Swords?

The Ace of Wands is finished!

:) I just finished the Ace of Wands...

A funny thing is that a couple of weeks ago, I discovered that my late hubby has Adobe Photoshop 7
on his computer I am using now. So I ordered an instruction book from amazon.com called
'Photoshop 7 for Dummies'...LOL...it just got here and It is '10' books in one and is thicker than a bible! :bugeyed:
Now I really have something to read when I can't sleep!!! :bugeyed: I was awake until 6am this morning...
...then fell asleep reading this Photoshop bible...LOL...and then got up at 11:45 am :p

Anyway, just glancing through this book, I see that Michael's $700 Photoshop program would
have done a MUCH better job on this deck than my little cheapie $55 program I have been using!
However, Photoshop is VERY complicated and the book is even more complicated...but I am
reading it and I have been practicing with the program a little here and there. Maybe the next deck I do (if I do)
will be better once I learn Photoshop.

Without further ado: Here is the Ace of Wands...and I only have '14' cards to go!!!
Now I am thinking that I should get the easiest ones out of the way first, and leave the
remaining time for the harder ones.

Hope you like the Ace of Wands... (I did it over twice!)

 How cute, laura_borealis, your little Polar bear AT avatar!!! And thank you for your comments!

Well, regarding the dark sky in the Ace of Swords...
Swords = brooding clouds and stormy winds, etc. (for the Swords)...and I am torn between the dark and the light too.

Unfortunately, that darnkess feature was put on in ONE CLICK...(a certain feature I can use
in my cheapie software)...(same with the mountains)...I don't use that feature very often...
So if I take it off, then it is just plain clear sky... I can try to darken the sky some, BUT I don't
think it will have the same affect as this feature.

Maybe let's see what more people think, then I will add up the votes and go from there...
I will also make up a 'medium' dark version and see how that looks...I will post it here.

Okey Dokey, then...back to the drawing board...
