Can you proffer me a shortlist of the famous?
ok, so more info on black tourmaline: my male Shepherd is severly frightened by thunderstorms...last night there was a big one, and I stroked his head with it, in the spot where his third eye would be located. I also held it to his heart. Although he was still obviously afraid, he did calm down, and he stopped trembling so it seems to have helped him "ground" himself, maybe therefore removing some of the electrical charge of the storm.
I also used it last night on myself, taping it to my lower back, where I was suffering pain from too much activity. The pain went away almost immediately - I could almost "see" it breaking into harmless little shards, and dissipating in the vicinty, just becoming pure energy and no longer being pain! it was great!
One thing I have found, however, is if you wear too much tourmaline - I was wearing the dark green/blue tourmaline ring, a string of red, pink, yellow, green and black beads, and had the black tourmy wand in my pocket - you will begin to feel nauseous at least, that was the effect on me, after two days wearing it! When I removed it, the feeling went away. Too much of a good thing! lol!
I love this application! I am so happy to hear someone is utilizing their crystal knowledge to help our four-legged furry kids. I also love that you made him his very own crystal cage to carry it around with him on his collar! You go, Lotus! Interesting point about reducing the electrical charge...
The past couple of days I have been leaving a huge chunk of black tourmaline on my sick computer. Don't know if it will be able to "heal" it, but it definitely seems to be helping to keep it going. I think it too has been 'overloading' the circuits, so maybe you are on to something there with the electrical issues.
My issue seems to be a combination of muscle damage and sciatic nerve damage so I am not sure if will have the same effect. I am definitely willing to give it a try though! Can't believe I haven't ever tried it before since I always have tons of tourmaline around me.
Speaking of having tons of it around...I was surprised that you had this reaction, but then again, as we have seen time and again, we each have very individualized reactions and "tolerances" to different stones.
I have noticed, however, that if I get too many stones (of various kinds) together in my bedroom they can cause headaches and a high pitched hum in my ears and the bedroom is the only place this seems to happen. Also, I finally was able to obtain a nice piece of pink tourmaline (still no green or watermelon) and although I haven't specifically worked with it yet, it definitely has a completely different feel (and I'm assuming different purpose) than the black.
I am not sure - my issues stem from both sciatic nerve damage, as well as having broken a disc ;p but it did work! In re to husband's hip pain, his problem is also bone related...but he did use it successfully to help ease muscle pain...I would be very interested in knowing if this worked for you.
Very interesting, this - WildC, do you think it may have to do with the fact that you are perhaps more relaxed in the bedroom, and therefore more aware of the "singing"?
