Darkana Tarot Deck on kickstarter

THAT it was. MUCH appreciated after the vast boxes some things come in.

ALL credit to Dan for that. (Though it was hard to open as I was afraid I might damage the box !)

Yes, it was very neat and even survived sitting on my front step for up to a week with snow in it while I was away over Christmas!

Wow - surely it would have fit in your mailbox ???

I have some bitterness too so I have also put it away so that I don't take it out on the deck. I'm easily butthurt and defensive, I'll admit that. Glad everyone seems to have gotten theirs! I look forward to playing with it, once I've gotten over being a sensitive flower.

:) YAY!!! I finally got my deck!

Not thrilled about the vibes surrounding the situation so it will go into my collection - for the memories :p
Maybe I will print out this whole thread and keep it with the deck...LOL

Nice deck and artwork, but maybe just a little too masculine for my tastes.

Dark?

I am loving mine... wonder if it will be classed as a Dark deck here on AT? I don't see it as dark... I have no hang ups about this one.... somehow that went over my head, but I do understand how it feels.... for a deck to be *tainted*.... the only thing I think Dan did wrongly was not to communicate right away on Kickstarter, but I guess we all know how it is when you feel under pressure.

I want to get a back up, I love mine so much, wish I had ordered 2!

Today my Darkana finally arrived. But it didn't survive the transport :(

The box and two of the cards (Queen and King of Petacles) are damaged :(

@Eno

Oh no! How terribly disappointing. You will, of course, let Dan know? I'm sure he'll send replacements.

Darkana 2.0

Just noticed a second edition of this deck on Kickstarter.

The description says some cards have been totally redone, but for the most part, very similar to the first deck but with some splashes of color.

I prefer the black and white version, to be honest. He's also changed the font on the keywords (and enlarged them). The new font is, in my opinion, too sterile. Not grungy at all. Oh well, I've no money in my tarot budget anyway, so I suppose it doesn't matter, but I do still like this deck and would someday like to have it.
